Have you ever seen a fruit with a more stunning hot pink colour than this tropical Dragon Fruit?  The pitaya or pink dragon fruit (the fruit’s genus name), is a delicious way to add fibre, vitamin C, vitamin B1, B2, B3 to your morning meal! 

This Pink Dragon Fruit Smoothie bowl can be also consumed as a smoothie in a glass or frozen in ice cube trays for a cooling hit in summer. Mix up as many extra toppings as you like to suit your preferences. 

Did you know that the Pitaya is part of the cactus species and it was originally native to Mexico? This cactus fruit is now cultivated all over Asia from Cambodia to the Philippines to Bangladesh. The Dragon fruit blooms only at night, producing large white fragrant flowers, commonly known as the ‘Moonflower’ or ‘Queen of the Night’. 


1 pink dragon fruit,

1/4 tsp organic vanilla bean paste,

1 tbsp EO Superfood blend 

1 tbsp  chia meal or chia seeds

Optional Toppings: mandarin, bananas, grapes, raspberries, almonds, chia seeds, walnuts, goji berries & pistachios etc. 


(1) In a blender, add the diced Dragon Fruit (skin removed) with vanilla bean, Superfood blend and chia meal.

(2) Blend until completely combined, pour into a bowl and serve with your favourite toppings!
